You do not have to take any of the new Certifications because you already have previous ones which proves you have the very robust foundation knowledge. I think instead of going into technical Certifications such as JSF certifications (Which are more technical and is more likely to change frequently due to the high speed in which technology advances), there are other Certifications on the market from Stable vendors that are worthy to consider and look at such as
--> IBM Certified Solution Designer - OOAD
--> IBM RAD Certifications
--> IBM SOA Certifications ... etc.
--> Certifications from OMG
Those Certifications certainly builds on the Certification path we started with Sun
