I'm pretty sure I'm picking up javax.persistence/persistence-api/1.0 from the main repo. I'm actually using JPA in
Tomcat, but I'm not totally certain that a "real" EJB3 jar needs to be included in the POM, since the actual functionality is provided by the container if you're using a JEE-compliant system. I know that when using Hibernate JPA, there's an EJB-persistence jar pulled in, but I don't ask for it explictly in the POM.
The secret of how to be miserable is to constantly expect things are going to happen the way that they are "supposed" to happen.
You can have faith, which carries the understanding that you may be disappointed. Then there's being a willfully-blind idiot, which virtually guarantees it.
