Hi,

I keep getting an average score of 50% to 55% in the ExamLab for SCJP 6.0's practice exams.

Are the real exam questions are equal to the difficulty level of ExamLab?
or am I the only one getting low scores in ExamLab tests?

Please mention other mock exams i can take, as iam giving the scjp 6 in 3 weeks.

Yes mock exams are supposed to be more difficult than the real one.

Thanks guys!
Another clarification, as you say these exams are harder than real exam, so how much score should one get in these exams in order to get a higher score say above 90% in the real exam?

Hard to say. You will have to compare your score with other test takers to get an idea about where you stand

Hi Inderpal,

I know that people may get discouraged when they keep getting low score on mock exams. However, in the case of ExamLab, it should be used as a "learning tool", instead of using it as a "testing tool". You must review your answers and see what you have missed. In ExamLab, there are no questions out of the SCJP syllabus. (except the serialization questions - I'm wondering to remove them though ) Therefore, in the review mode you can learn some new things from each question which you wrongly answered. That says if you wrongly answered 20 questions, there might be twenty new things to learn - so learn them all . Although most of the questions are tricky, you will be able to understand its stuff, if you can properly scan through the question. That is another 'skill' which should be improved. With that skill, you will be able to quickly find out some 'hidden' things on questions. Identifying compile time errors is such a thing. In general meaning, getting around 60% is sufficient to pass the Sun exam with a good score. These instructions are provided on the ExamLab itself as well.

Good luck on your studies,

Devaka
