filter servlet not get executed in websphere6.0.0.1

i am using websphere6.0.0.1 application server.
I have my custom session tracking filter.
but it dont get executed even i tried wildcard urlpattern.
<filter> <filter-name>trackSessionFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>com.filter.TrackSessionFilter</filter-class> <init-param> <param-name>avoid-urls</param-name> <param-value>login_screen.jsp</param-value> </init-param> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>trackSessionFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping>
this my web.xml snippet.
no exception and nothing get printed
