select tag ---> s:autocompleter [struts2]

I had a select tag...

I converted it to autocompleter as ....

  

<s:autocompleter theme="ajax" id="condCdrop" loadOnTextChange="true" list="conValues" 
dropdownWidth="10"  loadMinimumCount="5" showDownArrow="true" onblur="conFunc('condCdrop')"
 name="condCList" readonly="true"/>
 

but the dropdown is empty . Any corrections here???

The theme is "Ajax" because I want to send the selected value(an object) back to action class to populate another dropdown based on the value selected !!! But,Alas I don't know how to send that value action class using that theme Ajax...

I have changed it this way but to no avail !!!

However if the theme is simple the values are populated... what could be the change??
