Hi Guys,
I passed the SCWCD 5 exam today. It's a dream come true, and a lot of hard work on my part. First and fur most I would like to thank Kathy and Sierra , Bryan Basham and Bert Bates for the wonderful HFS & JSP Book.
Guys I will be honest with you, I read tgis book through and through, at least 3 -4 times all chapters and numerous times on specific issues for clarity. It was like my daily news paper.
Did all exercises in each chapter once and then again about 5 days before my exam. And the Free mocks from Edition 1 and 2.
Then the Guys at Enthuware, JWeb Plus V5 is awesome, made this my home too, did all Objective wise Tests, All 8 practice Tests, in theri study view read the jsp syntax card, jstl quick reference. You need this guys, go and get it!!!. It was close to the real exam in terms of standard, a little tougher though
Thanks Marcus, I did all your Mock exams, close to the exam standard.
You will defeinately need to go through the Servlet 2.4 spec, jsp 2.1 spec, EL is a must , get your hands on exercises on operators and functions. Ashok thanks for the Full web.xml sample and API doc., and the API doc is a must. you're lost without that one. You also need PeadBody on SCWCD patterns

Java boot SCWCD guide here
And my main strategy was revising a mock exam, mastering my weak areas before taking on another, iteratively until I mastered a lot of stuff.
The real exam was nasty!!! A lot of stuff you take forgranted or might think os from SCWCD1.4 is much alive in the exam. I was disappointed with EL, Custom tags, And Web Application Security I scored low there , maybe a panicked (But these sections were intense!!!). I should have scored more, but then again I am grateful. Scored 100% in all other Objectives
And I took a Red Bull before my exam!!!
I just followed advise from lots of you guys on the forum I'm just reiterating what you guys all know, but it works!!!
