Our client uses a common websphere portal infrastructure to co-host multiple portals belonging to various LOBs.
They are looking for a proposal to mitigate their risks.
They can classify applications dichotomously as Critical and Non Critical portals.
They do not want a critical error in a Non-Critical portal to cause the rest of the portals to go down.
Should I recommend having two virtual portals, one each for critical and non critical applications?
Would this mitigate the risk mentioned above?
Is there any other performance impact If I take this route?
If virtual portals are not the way to go, could you experts advice me on the best approach to resolve this problem?
