I am sure that you have noticed Oracle changed the old Sun site. What do you think about present certifications? Willl Oracle do something in the matter? Maybe they change the name from SCJP to OCJP? What will happen with people who have SCJP? Please take in consideration my quesrion.

I have just take a look today, as you can see here Oracle product strategy they have released a lot of declaration about the future of Oracle+Sun.
Concerning Java they said that the support will continue to be the same, and it will be followed by the same teams. The objectiv is to continue on the same line, more competitive and with more money!

I think (I am not sure about it), that the certification will remain the same, with the same validity and value, maybe they will change the logo but not the name!
Take a look there Sun certification, and stay tuned for JEE6 certification

There had been discussions about this in the past like here. While no one can say what exactly the strategy of oracle will be, you can rest assured, that your existing certifications will still be valid...
