How to make EL work with Struts???confused:

Hi,
I need you guys help. I installed TOMCAT 5 and JSTL. JSTL and EL work fine with it. But after I installed STRUTS1.1, EL doesn't work anymore. Questions are:
1. Can common EL work with STRUTS?
2. Is that necessary to use STRUTS, JSTL and common EL togather?
Thanks a lot for your time to answer my questions. (or if somebody else have posted this topic, pls give me the link.)
