Problem running tomcat - HTTP Status 404

Hi all,
I'm trying to use tomcat v.6 on Eclipse Ganymede but it always gives me the following error message


HTTP Status 404 -

I feel like I bored you with my description I'll try to make it shorter... I get a HTTP Status 404 error when I open the home page on http://localhost:8080/ . I'm running tomcat through eclipse Ganymede .
Please help me if you can I need to solve this urgently .

1. shutdown tomcat manually
2. go to webapps folder and remove .war and folder of your project
3. startup tomcat, and try deploying the war again

works with me!
