struts jars?

I downloaded the struts 2.1.8.1 distribution. It comes with 3-4 sample apps. One of which is named as struts2-blank-2.1.8.1 . Now this sample application is packed with a WEB-INF/lib folder which has 6 jars. So far i have used just these 6 jars to design all my small struts applications. But then i thought of taking the same jars from the struts distribution's lib folder. Strangely my app gives 404 error.

Ideally, when one has to run struts applcation, how shud the lib folder be composed? Since i am just starting out, i dont need most of the jars, but cant i just use the entire lib folder in the struts distribution as my WEB-INF/lib?

Hi Priya,
It seems that the jars are not included in your java build path.
I suppose youu should download the struts-2.1.8.1-lib.zip from "http://apache.siamwebhosting.com/struts/library/struts-2.1.8.1-lib.zip".
Then put all those jars in your WEB-INF/lib folder then if your are using eclipse and add those jars in your web application build path.
Start the server and try to hit the application.
I guess it will be okay

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
