STRUTS : Passing control across applications ...

Hi,

We are making a web application which incorporates more that 1 war's (web archive). The application is controlled by a Login module (a seperate war). The user has to choose the application he wants to log into from this login page. Based on his choice, the control needs to be transferred to the respective application (seperate war for each application).

I am not sure how to pass the control from the login module to the other application as both have different struts-config's and hence the mappings are different.

Waiting for suggestions...

Thanks in Advance,

Yogesh

Yogesh,
It depends on what you mean by passing control. You can't share a session between wars as you probably know. You can redirect to another app by using the link, such as http://www.domain.com/otherAppsContextRoot/Home.

The tricky part is how to have security/single sign on between the applications. You might want to post in the security forum for that part.
