Replacing inputText with buttons

Please forgive my ignorance, I am very new to JSF. The developer I was working with is unavailable to help me make modifications at the present moment so I was hoping someone here could help me make some minor changes. I’ve done most the work already on the other pages that require changes, but there is something that is outside my scope.

This is program that takes the input from the user 1-5 and adds it to a total elsewhere once all the computers have inputted their number. However, I want to change the textbox and submit button to: five buttons (1 through 5) that automatically submits once clicked. I could do this in other programming languages, but being new to JSF I’m having trouble. Can anyone help me out?

In my mind this should be very simple if I knew the syntax for jsf. I imagine just changing the <h:inputText> to five commandButtons or commandLinks that does the same thing but are assigned values 1 to 5? Or is this a lot more complicated than I thought?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Here is the code of the page I want to edit:
