Looking for a good tutorial on how to write a proggy that listens for command line instrux while running. I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Look for a tutorial about "threading", threads allow you to do multiple things at once, like listening to the command prompt and executing other routines ...
Give me golf clubs, fresh air and a beautiful partner, and you can keep the clubs and the fresh air.
Please UseRealWords when posting. Using abbreviations makes your writing much harder to understand, especially for the many Ranchers for whom English isn't their native language. It also suggests that you don't care enough to ShowSomeEffort when presenting your question.

Just what do you mean by "listens for command line instructions"? Do you mean a simple console program? If so, look at the Scanner class. Something else? Then perhaps give us more details on your problem.
Much luck!

I did not know the terminology. I guess I am looking for a good console application tutorial . I want to be able to type commands to the application while it's running.
