I am currently using the JTDS driver. Does anyone know if this driver or other driver is able to connect to the SQL Server 2005 with shared memory protocol (ie TCP and Named Pipe Disabled). Using Java of course.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
