...or maybe nitpick@javaranch.com mailbox is down? I submitted an assignment a few days ago(3 or 4) and I have not heard anything back.
I can resend if needed.

I'm sorry, Terry. I've just been very, very busy. We're swamped at work. Working overtime and training new help also. I get home and am too exhausted to even read my email sometimes. I plan to get caught up tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

no problem, it was just that my computer had a hiccup when I sent the email and I just wanted to make sure that it actually got sent.

It's good to check when you haven't heard anything for a couple of days.

Ahhh. I'm so glad that this past week is over.
Now I can get caught up with the rest of my life again (including nitpicking).

Hi Marilyn,
Just checking on an assignment I sent in on Monday. Did you get my 3rd go at it?
Thanks

I have 9 assignments sitting in my mailbox. Unfortunately I've been working 12 hour days this week (due to co-workers' illness and etc) and have been so tired when I get home, I haven't had the energy to nitpick them. Hopefully tomorrow will be a shorter day and I'll get lots done here.

Now last week when I had some days off, nobody sent me any assignments

Ah, well, I guess that's just the way life is. Ups and downs.

I really feel bad about making you wait, but I don't want to lead you in a wrong direction either.

No worries, you're doing a grand job, although I don't envy your workload!

Richard, your email from me bounced. I'll try to send it again tomorrow.

Yikes, don't sound like no vacation to me! Take care of yourself first Marilyn. As far as I'm concerned (and I'd boldly assume others agree), your nitpicks are definitely worth waiting for.
