Hi,

I want to have a list of all the important websites that a java developer should regularly visit to keep himself updated about the various upcoming java technologies and to understand what technogies are being currently used by enterprise organizations.

I have come up with the below list,

http://www.javaworld.com/
http://www.jguru.com/
http://www.javacoffeebreak.com/
http://www.codestyle.org/
http://www.theserverside.com/
http://java.dzone.com/
javaranch.com

Could someone suggest some more websites?

Thanks

A few sites that I visit on a more or less regular basis:
www.planetapache.org
www.planetnetbeans.org
www.se-radio.net
http://highscalability.org/

Thanks for including the JavaRanch!

But have you considered adding http://java.sun.com to the list?

Incidentally, if you haven't discovered RSS, I recommend putting your favorite sites into some form of RSS reader, either stand-alone or one built into your web browser.

The Firefox browser will display a little "radar" icon at the right hand side of the URL toolbar for RSS-enabled pages. Click on it and it will add the page to its RSS list. You can then check for updates by selecting it off the browser menu without actually having to go the the website and pulling down the entire page.

One of the most odious afflictions that Business has inflicted on the modern English language is "pro-active". Most of the time it's simply redundantly used in place of the simple old word "active". And a good deal of the rest of the time it means "You're not overworked enough yet, so go out and find more!"
