what time zone does log4j automatically pick ? Does it automatically pick the local time zone ?

If I remember correctly it picks up the timezone that your JVM is running on (which is most likely local).

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
