Someone told me that I can buy it ,no need to exam,is that true?

I'm in China , i told my teacher i want to pass SCJP yesterday , he said that SCJP is useless , anyone can BUY it , no need to have a exam...is that true ?

Or it may be true just because i am in China ???

Well scjp exam is easy only for those you put in an honest effort to clear it. I am glad i took the decision to give the test. ? Many of the concepts are cleared now. Now I am better programmer but only becuase i gave it my 100 percent and 3 months

This is why the job interview is *very* important, as it is incredibly easy to tell if someone, who is holding a cert, isn't qualified to hold that cert.... The interview can't really tell if the candidate cheated (as this topic implies), crammed through the test by brute force, or just plain forgot everything, but that's not relevant. If you are not qualified, you are not qualified.

thank you~ actually, i pay my 120 percent for java , and i was the best in my class , i just feel upset when i heared my teacher say that, i work hard everyday . it's not all about the test , it's about give a good account of myself , thanks again and i apologize for my poor English

Everyone can buy it. Let's make it clear. Everyone can buy a voucher (who can afford to) but NOT everyone can pass this exam.
I bet that your teacher is not able to pass it without any preparation!

actually...his english is poorer than me...thank you for that . i will pass it in this summer, i promise

Honesty comes in two forms. One being honest with your God and one with yourself. Yes
you can buy the exam, but you won't ever be certified in actual, because you know it yourself
that you didn't work hard to earn it.

On the contrary, if you earn it by working very hard through it, you will be very satisfied and there is a proverb
which says, "Knowledge you earn through hard work is never wasted and additionally money and good career follows the footsteps of a learned person".

It won't only make you a better programmer but will distinguish you among th league. Don't worry about what your teacher says,
just follow what your heart says and you will succeed.

you are so sweet , thank you , at first i feel so upset , i work hard , i learn java almostly by myself , everyday i pay 8 hours in learn JSP or Struts , when my classmate are still in sleep , i get up and read book, i know SCJP in a book named " Head First" , i will try my best to win it , not to buy it . i never want to buy it , i want to win it and tell myself , i deserve it.
