I am a Tier1 Holder and looking to travel to UK around june/july. I understand once we make it to the direct interview, certifications wont carry much value. I like to know if they are of any help to gain points over other job seekers in getting a interview scheduled. I did SCJP and have experience working in j2ee, spring, struts, hibernate among others. Before I spend any time on certifications, I like to know if they really catch recruiters eye while shortlisting resumes.
Please share your experiences. I am looking to take spring certification in a month's time and like to know if any other certifications are helpful.
Thanks in advance

Most of the UK employers do not hold any sort of point system during an interview/resume sifts to gauge candidates or during the whole recruitment process. However they do value other qualities within a candidates such as team player, motivation and initiative ... apart from the technical qualification/certifications.
