Hello Friends,
Does anyone know if I will be able to use my Java skills to complete telecommuting assignment?
Basically, can I work from home for some employer/client in other country and get paid for it?
Calling to some other country from India gets expensive, so can I get online assignments? like the ones on sourceforge, but paid assignments.
If you have tried or know some site, can you please refer it to me? Also, do mention your good/bad experiences and th
ings to take care..
Thank you in advance..
Regards,
Tina

There are a number of places where you can apply for jobs online and telecommute and they're loaded with people who have a "simple quick job" and a budget of no more than $50 (Rs. 2200). Although there are also more realistic jobs available there as well. You may find yourself competing with Indian companies who have a bid-on-everything, then-try-to-do-it approach. However, even there you may find some opportunities, since those companies often then turn around and bid out projects they have won that they don't actually have the competency for.
The best bet for cheap telephony is to do the same thing that companies like (well-known allegedly US-based telecommunications company) does. Use IP telephony.

Customer surveys are for companies who didn't pay proper attention to begin with.
