Axis2 contract first code

I am using contract first approach to write services using Axis2 in Java.
I have written a WSDL and then using Eclipse I generated the skeleton for for this service.

The skeleton code looks like

This code uses OMElement which is Axis2 API.
I have a couple of questions regarding this
1. Is there any advantage of using Axis2 API over a POJO webservice?
2. Can I generate a POJO webservice using contract first approach?

Thank you
