Hi All,

i had an offer with Company XYZ in India around 2yrs back. I have accepted the offer and promised to join XYZ.
Unfortunately i did not join XYZ as i decided to stick with current company because of some personal reasons.

i am interesed in XYZ now and i want to apply and move to Company XYZ and have the below questions

1. when i apply in XYZ, will they consider me and show interest for interview (as i have accepted the offer and dint join earlier)??
2. if xyz calls me for interview now and ask for previous interview history with xyz, should i diclose about the previous offer and my inability to join earlier?
How can i convince the prospective employer that i am genuinely interested in joining the company now?/
3. Is this common with employers and will they ignore the previous inteview history?

Please help.

Probably the XYZ company's first question will be *why?*

If they ask, you should say. Many companies keep records and lying won't get you the job.

As far as whether it will be held against you, it depends on how you un-accepted the offer at the time. If it was for family medical reasons, I'm sure they understand.
