I can't find a 64-bit version of the JDK for Windows 7. I'll even take a 64-bit version of the JDK for any version of windows. I went to
http://java.sun.com/javase/6/webnotes/install/system-configurations.html
, clicked on the 64-bit install for Windows 7, and it brought me to
http://java.sun.com/javase/6/webnotes/install/jdk/install-windows.html
which had instructions for 32-bit windows....

http://download.java.net/jdk7/m5/
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/widget/jdk6.jsp
I rather doubt the installation instructions are different.

Go here:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/widget/jdk6.jsp
click on "Platform" and select "Windows-x64" , then click "Download".
