null value at welcome.jsp

freinds i am building a simple application in which after a successful name of the current loginuser is fetched from database and printed with a welcome at welcome.jsp.after inserting a wrong name or password user would be directed to loginfailed.html with a error message.
everything is right except i am getting welcome null instead of welcome name at
welcome.jsp codelists are given below
