Hi to all,
I am so confuse about the life cycle(execution order) of web.xml.Please guide me how can i find the life cycle of web.xml?

No, there is no life-cycle of web.xml. It is just an XML document which lists the configurations of your web application.

Maybe the term you're looking for is "servlet lifecycle"?

Hi devaka,
Thanks for your reply.Once i have working on the session handling in servlet i need a filter and listener,I have the confusion of placement of listener and filter,I crawled thru net,
I have find one site which refers me, must place the listener before the filter
.So only i post this question here.Please guide me for achieve this.

Again: there is no "execution order" of web.xml; it's a configuration file.

If you're using a newer schema-based version I don't think there is a required order. If you're using an older DTD-based web.xml then you need to follow the order in the DTD.

Are you having a specific problem?
