richfaces data table width

I have a problem setting the width of each column in terms of percentage instead of pixels(it expects width only in terms of pixels) in a rich data table. Is there any solution to the problem or any work around? I have tried setting the width in terms of percentage in <h:column> and also in style class. Any suggestions??
