I know that must be depend on the type of the project.What type of characteristics have to be considered to chose a suitable javascript library for a J2EE project?
ps - hope extjs and jquery more customizable and powerful than others .

I would say you need to sit down and try using the library and see if you like it and see if the documentation.books/resources are good.
