Why not happy?

I watch GOD TV every now and then (a Christian evangelic channel). I notice when the preacher leads the prayer at the end everyone in the audience closes their eyes, raise their hands towards the sky and as they sway from side to side, I notice some of the people burst into tears for no apparent reason. It's not a sad prayer, nor he is telling a depressing story (like say a three legged blind dog for instance) but many people are weeping badly. I haven't seen this phenomenon when the salesman of any other religion leads a prayer session. It makes me feel sad too when I see this. Why so sad Christians?

Sometimes people cry when they are happy.

People don't only cry because they are sad. They also cry of joy, or because they suddenly get strongly emotionally moved. And it has nothing to do with whether you are a Christian, Hindu, Muslim or any other religion or even if you are not religious at all.
