Simple doGet and doPost confusion

Hi all genius people,

I am working in jsp servlet.I have a working knoledge of it.
Few days ago I came across at very strange things.

What I was trying to do is to call a servlet from the URL itself. So it is obvious that servlet's doGet method will be called.
But when I dispatch the request to another servlet at that time also the doGet method of called servlet is called.

My question is why is it so? ???
