Over the weekend, someone showed me the game Dwarf Fortress. The ASCII art and level of detail in that game is amazing.

If you look at the wiki link above, it contains things like:
# Hair acts as a layer on skin. It can come in many different styles (sparse, strands, etc.)
# Hair grows and eventually grays over time. It can be trimmed, and if left alone it will become shaggy and unkempt.


It was started in 2002 and is an amazing side project!
