This week's book giveaways are in the Refactoring and Agile forums. We're giving away four copies each of Re-engineering Legacy Software and Docker in Action and have the authors on-line! See this thread and this one for details.
I installed m2eclipse (maven plug-in) on a brand new installation of Eclipse Galileo EE. I have verified that the plug-in is installed via the installation details. However, nothing is showing up in my menus. For example, I go to File-->New-->Project ... and I do not have an option for Maven. I have tried re-installing the plug-in, re-installing Eclipse, and starting eclipse with the -clean option, but nothing fixed the problem.
I have it running on Windows XP, Linux, and OS X; no heroics to get it working.
When I just now installed it on this Linux box I noticed it listed a lot more dependencies to install than I'm used to seeing... Unfortunately I had forgotten about this thread, so I didn't pay attention to them, so I don't know if it could be related. But it worked immediately after a single restart.
