I am planning to do my SCJD certification. But in the below link, i see that this certification is currently unavailable. Did someone manage to get the voucher for assignment recenty?
I think this unavailability is very recent, because Evelina was able to download (and purchase I guess) it 3 days ago.
I'll guess they will have it unavailable until the process for downloading, uploading and grading will be defined (now there are a lot of problems with the whole process).
This item is currently unavailable while we update the process. If you previously purchased this assignment, the files will be sent to you via email.
So the only option I guess would be to have a little bit patience. Other options: contact someone at oracle university or sun educational services of your country.
I just checked the link and it still shows that the registration is currently unavailable. Please find below the details
Exam Number: CX-310-252A
Associated Certifications: Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD)
Assignment Price: US$ 125
Assignment Registration: This item is currently unavailable while we update the process. If you previously purchased this assignment, the files will be sent to you via email.
I purchased it based on that success someone encountered earlier in the week, but have not been able to receive the ZIP file containing the data. Despite emailing ProMetric repeatedly, they have not helped me, nor processed my request for a refund.
They have passed the buck to three other email addresses, so far - one of them is bogus, and the other two haven't answered.

Hi Cindy,
Same thing happened to me. You can also try to contact gary.fluitt@oracle.com I think he's responsible with the assignment materials. He helped me.
I purchased and downloaded the SCJD assigment last May, and the year deadline is coming up.
I requested permission (twice) to upload the completed assignment from who2contact@sun.com - no response.
I sent e-mail to ocpexam_ww@oracle.com at oracle - no response after 5 business days, contrary to what they state.
I've been on hold for more than an hour at 1-800-529-0165, the Oracle "university" help number (listening to stupid, clanky piano music). If I leave a message as suggested, instead of the option of holding, I assume thats another black hole.
Does anyone know if I can expect a response from Oracle, and then hopefully be a useful response?
Has anyone uploaded an assignment purchased the past few months, prior to the buyout of Sun by Oracle?
After the acquisition of Sun by Oracle the SCJD certification is one big mess: unanswered emails, assignments which can't be downloaded or uploaded,... I think on the 1st 2 pages of this forum you'll find more than 5 threads about these problems. Maybe you can find valuable information there. Here is one of these threads.
As an alternative I always advise to try to contact the sun educational services of your country, they may have more powers or knowledge of the internal process for the SCJD.
Good luck!
Kind regards,
Roel

Now that IS disturbing. I'm still waiting for the zip file - it's been a week, now, with me sending emails every day.
I hadn't considered what this might mean, when it comes time to turn IN the assignment! I guess I had better start requesting my refund through the Visa merchant guarantee.

Hi Cindy,
If you have URLyBird, and need the zip, I can send it to you.
[Update] Seems I shouldn't do this, so it's better to contact Sun directly. Sorry.

I've sent ip.helpdesk@prometric.com a final letter demanding a refund, and told them if they don't do it, I will dispute the charge with Visa.
It's sad, that I have to do that - it appears this test will no longer exist in the future. No big surprise, since this test requires hand-grading, as opposed to the others where the computer grades it, for the same amount of money ($300).
It seemed like the funnest test too, darn it! Oh well, cest la vie.
I tried to get some clarification about the whole process, please have a look here.
Kind regards,
Roel

I did get the file a week after purchasing the test, from the developer-submit_us@oracle.com address. Annoying! I ended up writing emails every day, getting more and more surly, and ended up demanding a refund a couple of times, before I got it, though. Not impressive - I hope that doesn't happen when it's time to turn in the assignment.
