Hi all genius people,
I am a developer working on j2ee.
I am interested in android and want to switch over to it.
Is it possible.
And also tell me that whether my knowledge in java will be useful for android.

It sure is possible. Java knowledge would certainly help and IMO Android is lot easier to learn and perhaps better than J2ME; also I think it is one of the most promising mobile platform to work on.

J2ME is old and busted, Android is the new hotness. I also feel the same way about the iPhone vs Droids.

I don't know that I'd say that J2ME is "busted". It has its place. However, if you have the horsepower, Android is a lot of fun to work with.
Incidentally, while I realize that J2*E*E was the original question, not J2*M*E, J2ME is the basis for the Blackberry platform, and so I don't expect it do die just yet, "hot" or not.

Customer surveys are for companies who didn't pay proper attention to begin with.
