This week's book giveaway is in the General Computing forum. We're giving away four copies of Arduino in Action and have Martin Evans, Joshua Noble, and Jordan Hochenbaum on-line! See this thread for details.
Just want to thank everyone for sharing informations on SCEA exam preparation, experiences, etc. which motivated me to target a good score.(although I got lower than what I expected!)
First, spent some time on identifying some good materials, and came up with the following stuff:
-Notes by Mikalai Zaikin: - this was my first choice as the Notes for SCWCD by Mikalai Zaikin helped me a lot earlier. This site has the notes in pdf format and covering most of sections. Thanks to Mikalai & Adel Almoshaigah
Congrats for passing SCEA part 1 exam and thanks for sharing your valuable feedback for SCEA mock exams.
We are in the process of Updating our mock exams and soon new questions will be added.
Please feel free to mail us and we will try our best to help you.

I bought a week ago the Whizlabs for the SCEA.
What kind of the updates you are doing? When they are ready? Are those new updates available for me also?
Thanks,
Mika

Hello Raj,
that's good to know. I have enjoyed your product so far and I will go to the part 1 at may and will report the results and my study plan.
Currently I have got 64% and 60% from the first two Mock tests and to be fine in the actual test I want to rise this number.

Hi Mika
My kind suggestion, dont just depend on Whizlabs Mock exams, try as many as possible other mock exams which are freely available online. This will help to manage your time on the real exam.
Actually I was getting on average above 80% at the whizlabs mock exams, finishing within an hour. However the real test was bit harder comparing to this, having more real scenarios(lengthy), covering more on the new areas like EJB3, JCA, JPA, JAX-WS, etc. May be the updated version from Whizlabs would help.
Good Luck!

Hi Kala,
Thanks for the advice.
I'm using normally 1-1,5 hours for Whizlabs test. Maybe I try also other mock exams. One work friend did part 1/3 and get 97% and he said it's really easy. But maybe he has wider experience than I have.
Can I know how long it took for you to go thru the study material that you had mentioned. (Probobly number of hours per day). Just wanted to know as i too am preparing for the same.
