Very similar format to book promotions at JavaRanch. This guy's book is the most popular permaculture book, out of about 20.

To give you an idea of what you can do: grow huge tomato plants without water or fertilizer. It's all a matter of picking the right plants to grow next to the tomato. And a few other things. Keep in mind that tomatoes grow in nature without somebody to irrigate them. And they often grow in very dry places.
