Guys,

I would like to install Apache web server on my Ubuntu machine. When googling I just found articles which explains me to do a apt-get install which I do not want. From the Apache website, there seems to be no binary files for download? Just downloaded the source files. Do I compile them and then install it?

Did a rm -R / to find out that I lost my entire Linux installation!

I did a apt-get and installed apache2. How could I start and stop it?

A slightly different question. Which is the best MySQL client tool that I can use on my Ubuntu? I guess there is no Toad freeware for MySQL that runs on Ubuntu. So what would be the alternative?
