Hello! (picture of my GUI is included (at least I hope so...))
My first post...anyway I am working on an assignment for school. I am to use swing and design and implement a pizza ordering system. I find swing easy enough to handle, but I am having brain death issues how to handle displaying back the customers order with prices and displaying the total... this is how I want it to look
3 Cokes $2.98
1 large peperoni pizza $9.99
w/ black olives $0.99
1. what is the best way to display something like this? JLabel? JTextBoxArea?
2. what is the best way to store this data (item, price, quantity)? an object array? arraylist?
3. how do I update my JLabel after a user adds something to the order?
I currently have 6 classes they are:
pizzaFront.java (JFrame info)
pizzaGUI.java (panel layout page)
pizza.java (pizza order page)
drinks.java (drinks order page)
specials.java (hotwings etc page)
order.java (the page that displays a list of selected items, their prices, and the total cost.)
If you want more code just ask, but here is order.java as I have it. I am starting off just trying to get a running total and will impliment more later. I only have the drinks.java ordering page done. All a person does is select the quantity wanted from the combobox.
