Hi Gang,

I've been the silently browsing this forum for a while. And the information I get here is very very helpful.
Thank you everybody, including the Forum Leaders for spending their valuable time here.

Recently, after the procedures have changed, I submitted my assignment on SCEA Part 2 by sending an email to architect-submit_US@oracle.com on March 31st. And I've taken my Part 3 exam on March 28th.

I haven't received any response from Oracle/Sun so far. I know they said its takes 4-6 weeks to evaluate and its not 6 weeks yet.
It kind of concerns me that there are few people in the forum who got their results within a month.

Should I email Oracle/Sun requesting for results? What do you guys advise?

Thank you.

The only thing you can do is waiting .. keep waiting..
Even you send them a email to ask anything about your SCEA exam, no one responses
I am in the same situation with you. I email assignment and took essay exam on 4/21.
Sending a email to ask them if they received my assigment on 4/22 and it has been 2 weeks past.
I haven't got any response.

This is quite frustrating. After all the months of hard work, it is uncertain when we are going to get our results.
I hope Oracle/Sun streamlines this process very soon.

Anybody else in the same situation ?

Someone told me to call this number 1.800.529.0165 to ask for speaking to their certificate manager and explain your situation.
Maybe you can try this.
If I don't get result within 6 weeks, I will try this approach as well.
So if you try it, please tell me if it works or not.

Thanks

I called them and they said to email suncert_ww@oracle.com.
Apparently the Oracle University do not handle these certifications and the only way you can contact Sun Certification group is through this email address.

i already emailed them and I'm back to square one on a wait, which I'm not sure when its going to end.

Did you say you want to speak to a certificate manager?

I did ask for the certification manager. He said there is no specific phone number for certification manager or sun certification group.
The only way you can contact is through the email address.

Kind of sucks ... I know.

So it seems this approach doesn't work any more.
I worry I will never get my grading result.
It's totally waste of money and time.

I would also suggest resending your email every 3-4 days to get some attention. Once I even got a response the next day I resent an email. Which shows they didnt see the first email or they saw that but didnt reply and my resend kind of prompted them to reply. Anyway try that too.
Again with a more transparent setup everyone would have been happier - hopefully they will do it. This needs to be done only for exams that involve multiple parts and assignment and things like that. So should not be a big deal.

Forgot to mention I did have success calling that training phone number but that was for just getting my assignment - for a period of about 15 days I didnt receive anything after I bought the assignment. Though I was not allowed to speak with the cert dept, the rep had contacted the cert folks and I received the assignment in email.

Today, I try to send them a bunch of emails using different email account.
I got a Auto-Reply email said it takes 7 business day to get response and they got a high volume of emails every day.
The weird thing is I don't get this auto-reply email before or every email I sent to them.
I guess, just guess they have some kind of filters to filter out some emails so maybe our emails aren't even read by their CSRs.

I called them again today and got hold of a customer service rep who seems more responsive than the earlier one.
He got my information and ended up sending an email to suncert_ww@oracle.com :-) and copied me in it.

Looks like there a huge disconnect between them and sun certification folks.

Anyways, I have my fingers crossed and hoping for a response soon.

Hi Ajit:
But what's the difference between sending email to suncert_ww@oracle.com by yourself and by a CSR?
Is the email sent from a CSR easier to get response?

Exactly. I don't know the difference. But looks like this is the only way to contact the Sun Certification related group.

Looks like you've followed the rules buddy... did you check the certmanager's history page. They kinda have an audit log going on there... maybe that would help

There is nothing in cert manager history page, except that it says that I passed part 1, which is a while back

Hi Certified experts,

Where does the SCEA results get updated first?
Is it on Assignment portal(URL: https://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/login.idc) or Certification Manager (i7lp.integral7.com)? May I get any email notification as an alert? please advice.

Regards,
rana

In my case that integral site has the right information - I dont see any updates related to my assignment on the certmanager site even though my assignment has been graded and I have already received the certificate hard copy. My case is one of the recent ones so may be this is the way it is being done now.

Finally, I received a email from architect-submit_US@oracle.com said they got my assignment and
my assignment has been sent to assessor to grade.
I would suggest anyone who is still waiting for your result and not sure if they got your assignment just sent your assignment again and
use another email account (better use non-commercial account).
In my case, I used Gmail account to send them my assignment on 4/21 and never got any response even I sent a bunch of emails to ask them the status.
So last week I used my another account, which is a school email account to send them my assignment again and today I got a email from them.
I doubt they never received my email sent via Gmail account.

So don't just wait! If you are not sure whether they got your assignment, just try to sent it again via a different email account.
Also make sure you got a reply from them within two weeks after you sent your assignment.

Congratulations !!!

I did call them again today, asked the representative to file for a complaint. I guess this is the ultimate option, he suggested. I send out all the information, regarding all the three parts. He send out an email to the complaint box, cc'ed his supervisor too. I hate to do this, but I really hope this would move the bricks.
