I am planning to give SCEA Part 1 in July end 2010. Can anyone suggest what would be the right time to buy the Voucher for Part 1. And also should I buy the voucher online or should I go to the Prometric Center for the purchase..........I am located in Bangalore, India.
You need to purchase the Vouchure from authorized prometric center.

Thanks Shiva!!! Any idea what should be the latest deadline by which I should buy the voucher to be able to give part 1 in end of July....... And any recommendation on Prometric Center in Bangalore...... may be someone had had a good experience somewhere.......
What is the certificate number for the part 1? SCEA 310-051? or 310-052?
What are the numbers for other 2 parts?
Its confusing: different numbers are mentioned in different places in this forum.
Please let me know.
hello, I had same questions as Phani Susarla since I was looking on Amazon books for the SCEA exam, I found a book that is suggested to apply the certification exam. The book is Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java EE Study Guide (Exam 310-051). This book is not so old, so I think it's still uptodate... but when I read the title it says Exam 310-051, that's make me a little confused, because as I knew the first part of the Scea exam it should be Exam 310-052, what's wrong with it?
I have been working for about ten years in software industry, I like very much J2ee architecture even if I'm still ignorant. After studying and reading for years I came across an article about this Scea exam and I told to my self that could be a good challenging thing to do... Well actually I'm 40 years old, I'm not sure what's the best age to give this exam, maybe I'm too old, and I'm not sure if this exam will ever improve my professional skill...
I'm always trying to do my best on my work following standards, but some time I feel frustrated during my days working on a project that often does not care about standards, and does not care planning the project on patterns basis: the most important thing is to do the job quickly and that it will works (even if in a jsp page there is class or an execution of a query!!). I convinced project manager and cooworker to use a better development way of doing, following patters and better tools like maven, continuum etc... but some time when I talk about archiva, people look at me like if I were an E.T. and they ask me "why using archiva, should be better then saving an application ear on a directory on a XXX server or on the Michel's pc (Michel another of my cooworker) ???".
thanks for talking, have fun reading and studying!!
