Behavior of editing a Text box

Hi all
I have Sony Ericsson phone ,Model W700i. I have developed a small reminder making software.
It works perfectly fine. Problem with the software is GUI. I can't edit text box instantly(i.e. in one shot).
When I select a Text box and click on edit, It opens a big editable screen and then allows to enter input.

Same software when I ran on my friends cell phone (W550i) It allows to edit text box there itself without going to big editable screen.

If anyone has any idea why text box editing behaves this way on my mobile phone then please let me know how.
Let me know how similar feature as that of w550i, I can bring on my mobile phone.

Hi Saipraneeth, Thanks for your reply. Just clarifying one thing.

but when start using the opera mini on my mobile i am able to edit the text box there it-self,

Did it means you installed Opera mini browser on your handset and then text boxes started getting editable without opening full edit screen ?

Oh ok. I am bit new to J2ME. I found it such element's behavior bit different.

I will try my best to search if there is an plug in available which may act like CSS and satisfy my requirement.

Anyone knows how I can resolve this problem then please help me out ?

Hi friends,

I continued my discovery to see how I can edit text field on one line. I searched in the net, I foul few GUI API's like J2me Polish.
One thing i Noticed is that when I use a Oxford MS dictionary, It's text field works perfectly fine as what my needs are.

No idea how my text field dosen't behaves that way. Does any one knows how the GUI for such dictionary has been implemented ?
