What level I must achive in Java, to get involved with Flex/Java...?
ActionScript 3 is it required everywhere, no-matter/any server-side lang you choose to use with Flex?

You'll benefit from understanding Servlets and understanding the general concepts involved in writing web applications. Other than that the bulk of the coding logic in a Flex applciation often is done in ActionScript. If you are not a Java person you caa go down the Cold Fusion route.

As self-learner: I read some intros in Actionscript , well prior proceed, can you tell what really needed, and in what series to get covered?
ADOBE FLASH Actionscript AND FLEX Actionscript Really differ, or if I have a book in first I may not need another book for Flex client side prog?
