Hi Fillop,

I was just wondering how flex differ from other RIA frameworks such as GWT, YUI, Jquery, Dojo etc..

Thanks

Flash runs in a plugin, all the other technologies you mention ultimately run using the browser itself.

Both DHTML and Flash can be written to perform well or badly. There is nothing inherent in either technology that implies poor performance.

Flex is a good place to start. The Adobe sites are full of useful examples and other information. I can't advise you on a book; I haven't read any myself.
