regarding unsupported post method

i am using tomcat as the server and after deploying the application when i tried to run it this error is coming:



i have used doPost method in servlet and method = "POST" in the html file.

i have tried the http-method tag but the problem persists..

Are you certain that the doPost method in your servlet actually overrides the other method? Are you using the @Override annotation?

no actually i thought i will not require it. its a very normal application

No application is too "normal" to follow good practices. Using the @Override annotation will tell you if you are properly overriding the method.
