Hi Guys,
I'm about to take the SCWCD exam (on Monday 24th May) after failing it once already (47%). I have read the Charles Lyons book 3 times now and am also reading the chapters of the HFSJ that I'm still sketchy on. While doing this I have taken a few Enthuware mock exams but I'm running out of time so can anyone give me a heads-up on how these compare to the real thing? On the mocks I got 70%, 72%, and 65% on the first 3 standard tests so are these tougher than the real thing?

Hi Willy,

It is a pity that you can't finish the mock exams before the real one. Don't rush, take your time reading the answers to the questions you had wrong.

Take time to cram the APIs and the classic tags. Have a look at my summary (SCWCD links, rancher notes), the most important methods of the API's are there in drawings. Make sure you know the drawing of the interfaces on page 13 (Servlet, GenericServlet, HttpServlet, and ServletConfig) by heart. Cram the elements of the web.xml. So don't fill your time with only doing mock exams.

In general the Enthuware mock exams are slightly more difficult then the real one. In both occassions (SCJP5 and SCWCD5) I have scored higher on the real exams then all the mock exams.

Good luck!!!
Regards,
Frits
