Hi

This is possible in JSP

My question is related to the design point of view , can anybody please let me know
why sun people has provided this facility to extend a java class from the Page Directive ??

Can any body could tell me a scenario where this could be useful?

Thanks in advance .

Its use dates back from long ago, when scriptlets and Java code in JSP was unavoidable. As of JSP 2.0, introduced over 8 years ago, such facilities should no longer be used.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
