Can Pentaho framework support reports built using Crystal Reports. Is integration seamless between Pentaho and Crystal Reports? Because majority of users are well versed with the Crystal software and not keen on migrating to new reports such as Jasper etc.

Thanks.

There are approaches to have a Crystal Report runtime engine used in the Pentaho BI stack, but since Crystal Reports (whether 8.x, or BO 11.X) is a commercial piece of software, it is difficult to write and distribute a plugin to it, especially when the commercial entity already has an existing BI Server they themselves are trying to sell.

I haven't dealt with this, but I researched the same item as I would also be interested in an easier transition if you already have Crystal Reports tools and skillsets in place.

I agree. Here's the link: http://jrebel.com/download
