This morning (May 21) I received an email from Oracle (suncert_ww@oracle.com) to say that I passed the SCJD:

"We have received notification that you have passed your SCJD assignment. Your Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD) certification has been processed and will be mailed soon. Please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Regards,
OCP Team"

For others who are waiting and might be frustrated, as I was, here is some info:

I took the essay exam on Feb 12, after I had submitted my assignment, so it took > 3 months to get a result.

The emails from which I got responses were:
suncert_ww [suncert_ww@oracle.com]
ocpexam_ww [ocpexam_ww@oracle.com]

Never any response (about the grading) from who2contact@sun.com.

No score info so far. https://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/ shows only my SCJP test (and score), nothing yet about SCJD.

The certification database site does show the SCJD cert:
Event Date/Time: May 21, 2010
Description: The status for program Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform changed to Manually Certified on Feb 14, 2010.

In any case, I learned a lot from the assignment, and I certainly recommend it despite the unreasonable wait at the end.

Thanks to many folks on this forum for all of the useful and encouraging info :-)

Hi
I passed in Febraury too and after a lot of chasing regarding what score I got, they've now replied as follows :-

You have received a passing score, which shows up in certmanager as a 0 score with P grade. The SCJD exam is Pass/Fail. Passing grades do not receive a score, just the pass.

A failing grade will receive section level scoring so that a candidate may isolate the area of failure and resubmit their assignment. Numeric scores are only provided on failures.

Regards,
OCP Team

Hope this helps
