deploy application using eclipse but can't deploy directly

Hi I am able to deploy application using eclipse but i cant deploy simply through command prompt. I am new to this and i am using Head first servlet and jsp book.
Please help.

Of course you can. Do you think that real servers execute in eclipse?

The Servlet spec outlines the folder structure you must use to deploy a web application. At minimum, you need a WEB_INF folder in the context root and an deployment descriptor (web.xml) in that folder.

I know we can run it from out side of eclipse. but i am not able to deploy my app.
here is my webapp project discription:

folder : beerv1----- form.html
|__________folder : WEB-INF
|__________ web.xml


still i ma getting 404 error.

I cannot tell from your diagram, but it looks like the web.xml may not be in the WEB-INF folder.

Again, please reference the Servlet Specification, or the Tomcat documentation.
