On my 13" MB I downloaded the file directly from mysql and jumped through a bunch of hoops to get it working. It seems like there has to be an easier/better way to install MySQL on OSX. After quite a bit of googling I've discovered that a lot of different folks think they have the best way, and I'm not satisfied with any of them. Anyone have any recommendations?

I seem to recall going through hoops when installing PostgreSQL. However MySQL was easy: I just installed the DMG from the MySQL site: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/

Yea, I just realized there was a DMG.
